Urinary system

The urinary system is made up of two kidneys, two ureters, the bladder and the urethra. Men also have a prostate. The kidneys filter the blood and produce urine, which contains liquid waste products that must be removed from the body. We produce about 2 litres of urine every 24 hours. The urine enters the bladder via the ureters. When the bladder is full, our brain receives a signal that we need to urinate. Urinating regularly is important because this is one of the ways in which our body gets rid of waste products.

If your bladder does not empty by itself or does not empty completely, intermittent

self-catheterization is a good solution.

It keeps your bladder healthy and prevents unwanted urine loss, infections and kidney problems. Self-catheterization is very easy and safe using the various types of Curan catheters.
