In case of a limited hand function, the packing has to be easy to open and ergonomics plays an important role in terms of more or better grip. In case of overweight, the length of the catheter is important which means a compact catheter could cause problems. 

Secondly, your lifestyle plays a significant role when it comes to choosing a catheter. Compact catheters are particularly suited for users who are on-the-go a lot, as this type of catheter can be easily stored in a (hand)bag or (inside) pocket.
